The Bangladesh national football team's away group encounter in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers is set to take place at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait early on Friday. The team will play against the formidable Palestine team. The game begins at 12.30 a.m. (BST).

Bangladesh captain Jamal Bhuyan made the following statement via video message on Wednesday before the game against Palestine: "Overall the training has been good because we have spent a lot of time together in the training camp and overall everyone have been very positive in the long camp."

"We know what kind of squad Palestine is, therefore we want to do well against them. We are aware that Palestine is one of the best teams in each of our groups and that they performed admirably in the Asian Cup.

The Bangladesh National Team held a rigorous two-week training camp at the King Fahd Sports City Stadium in the Saudi Arabian City prior to their FIFA World Cup Qualifying match against Palestine. On Sunday, they left for Kuwait to play their away encounter against Palestine.

Additionally, Sudan was the opponent of two practice matches for Jamal Bhuyan and Co. in Saudi Arabia. Bangladesh drew goalless in the opening game and lost 0–3 in the second one against Sudan.

Bangladesh had already competed in two World Cup qualifiers against Australia and Lebanon in the previous year.

Bangladesh's away encounter on November 16 ended in a 0–7 goal loss to the hosts, Australia, while their home match on November 21 in Dhaka ended in a 1–1 draw with Lebanon.
